See, now I think Harry being, er, hairy, is definitely okay with canon. It grows fast when he cuts it, after all. Ron, on the other hand, looks ridiculous.
I think my main problem with both boys is that they are wearing ultra-fashionable 70s-copy hair styles. If they had long hair in a more wizard like look... well, I wouldn't say I'd like it, but I'd buy it. (I can see how Harry's hair is more canon, tho).
For me, this is like the ultra-hip (and thus 70s-copy) clothes in POA, which just seemed wrong. My inner conservative going off. ;)
