MediaWest Squee!

Time for MediaWest*Con panel sign-ups! Last year there were just a few Sherlock panels, now there are over twenty proposed! I'm having a hard time whittling down my list, a more difficult proposition this year as I have to block time to sell the zine. Skipping eating and sleeping is an obvious strategy, but that still leaves only 24 hours in a day!

[livejournal.com profile] myfieldnotes, [livejournal.com profile] brate7, [livejournal.com profile] mrwubbles and I will be hosting Sherlock gen H/C recs again. I'm definitely prioritizing "Sherlock (BBC): What we love about the rebooted friendship" and "Desert Island Fic Recs," but what else to choose? "Build the Perfect Zine"? "NCIS: Functional Mute, Brains, Guts, Muscle Wildcard, Let's discuss our characters"? There's even a dedicated Mycroft panel proposed! How am I supposed to choose?

No one's suggested a Whitechapel panel, so I will be recommending the addition. If you enjoy the series and are attending, please sign up in round two.

There is actually a panel that interests me. Depending on the time, I might have to check it out.

Did you see the Bridget/Andrew panel for Ringer?

That's the one I might check out. :D

I thought that might be the case. ;)

I'm really sorry I won't make it this year. Save a few Sherlock topics for next year!

That shouldn't be a problem. In fact, I think I've already though of one:

MediaWest*Con 2013 Programming - Sherlock (BBC): Strategies for resisting the urge to throttle Moffat and Gatiss as we wait out this interminable hiatus...

Between Doctor Who's 18-year gap and the fact that they (unlike Doyle) were kind enough to give us a hint at the end of FALL, I'll be the one batting for their team.

Hm, there's a few I wouldn't mind attending like the PoI ones, Fandom of 1, Mag 7 DeAged, White Collar, hm....must learn to project self ASAP. Panels, Chicken n Dumplings, Zines and Pie, oh my! Why do cons go faster than boring civilian time?

Mag 7 DeAged

It's like someone was thinking of your big bang fic. :D Love the Mozzie/Neil bromance panel, too.

I need to limit my panelist volunteering, but barring conflicts I'd love to go to:
Sing “Soft Kitty”! The Big Bang Theory – why we love it, how we feel about recent developments, and the obligatory “Soft Kitty Sing-Along”!
Supernatural: Sera Gamble: How to destroy a TV show without even trying.
Audiobooks/Podcasts: Got favorites? Share them with the rest of us, science fiction or otherwise.
Fan fiction: What is your guilty pleasure?
My Fandom is On Life Support! How to cope when you're a fandom of one and no one is writing anymore?
How to Podcast Fanfic
All things iPad

Obviously I need some sort of clone or timeturner.

And how do we fit in tea? And a Sherlock party?

I don't think I'm going to MediaWest this year. *sob*
