I adore Locke. I liked Jack in the beginning. I still like him. But for all the depth they've given him, he still seems "flat" next to some of the other characters like Charlie and Sawyer and Sayid and Locke. Sun has become my favorite of the women. I like Michael better after knowing his back story.
But Locke is definitely the one that always intrigues me.
Boone? I really didn't care about him and was glad they picked him to die. In fact, I think he was a brilliant choice. Someone that isn't so wildly popular with the audiences as, say, a Locke or a Sayid but someone who was very involved from the beginning with the group. It is believable that the other members of the group on the island *do* care about him dying. I don't care, but they do ... and that makes me care. If that makes sense.
