My latest anime rental has an ad for the Anime Network which runs something like: "5000 Episodes! 543 Magical Girls! 376 Boy Pilots! 1,632 Gorgeous Babes! 1 Network!"
I'm sure they're trying to impress you with how many series they run, but the ad unintentionaly screams: "Anime! It's Extremely Formulaic!"
(not that that's going to stop me from renting it, of course...)
