Well, I'm Not Dead or Unconscious, So I Say Bravo for Me!

Still hip-deep in Buffy, but stopping to note a fun essay from a Giles writers' site that doesn't really have a place in my recs. Poor Giles, always taking blows to the head. So much his writers' guild has a "Concussion FAQ" (no direct link available--why, frames, why?!--but click essays, then Concussion FAQ). Helpful for all manner of fandoms (I'm staunchly pro-concussion).
