Nov. 8th, 2009 06:45 pmI've been re-watching Angel, and just got to "That Vision-Thing", which I initially had thought was rather nifty because 1) enormous H/C, and 2) it sets up a later episode, with a nice example of how actions should have consequences. But, upon reflection... is it just me, or does Angel's total capitulation to Lilah's evil plan seem a bit first resort-y? Lorne diagnoses Cordy as receiving non-PTB visions, says 'take a look at who hates you, Brood Boy,' Angel drops in on Lilah, and instead of say, making a win-win bargain with Gavin to find out how Lilah is hurting Cordelia (which Gavin would have jumped at in a heartbeat) or asking Lorne and Wesley to figure out how to block non-PTB transmissions (because, hey, look at the ongoing danger to Cordelia we don't resolve by killing one psychic!), Angel's all 'Okay, whatever, I'll do your evil bidding, and release untold evil on the world. We have to get to the demon in the plastic suit named for the producer somehow!'
And, good grief, is that Kal Penn in the fez? Yes, yes it is. I bet he's not showing that clip around the White House.
