Yes, I'm very sad. I've been commenting all over with my favorite memories of Davis. He did a lot of cons for SG-1, and he had such a pleasant approach to each. Even when fans asked inappropriate things or showed him, er, stuff best kept private, he just rolled with the punches and had a great sense of humor about it. And he seemed to be genuinely enjoying himself.
He was really still comparatively young, and has been working steadily on shows that film in Vancouver, so this has caught me completely off guard.
It is a sad moment and kinda a mark of time to know he's gone. I met him at Gatecon, had the pleasure to speak with him at the NJ Creation Con w/Shanks and he was a delight. I had checked out his gallery online when he first spoke about his pieces and you could tell he was very happy and proud about his pieces.
:( He will be missed. I'm changing the front page of Stargatefan for him. Wish there was something more we could do.
How sad!
