Was really hoping for a female doctor this time, come on guys, mix it up a little. This is sci fi, we need to push some boundaries.
Had she not been River, I do think Kingston could have brought something really amazing to the role. Alas, I think it's really, really unlikely the Beeb is going to take that kind of risk. DW is such a commercial property for them, I'm surprised they even went so far as to cast a man over 40.
