Re: Halldis, I didn't mean her to be Frigga, per se, but I wanted to play on the background that you gave Frigga, thinking that it's probably safe to assume that there are other families that feel the same as hers. Partly, to try to give some kind of sense of what kind of tribute she is (someone who, I think, would have been a good fit for Brutus, even if he hadn't been forced to mentor that year due to the senior-level request/command), but mostly so the set up forces Brutus to meet her parents (because I'm a mean, mean person who likes to maximize the pain). I think this is the worst possible situation for Brutus: not only is he basically losing for the first time (which he would have irrationally blamed himself for in any case), but his tribute was a girl who was basically a model of Twoly virtues, whose parents won't even get angry and blame him (so Brutus has to take on the job of punishing himself entirely).
