MediaWest Policy Change

Just finished reading PR1 for MediaWest*Con. The programming sign-up form says the real names of panelists will be published in the program book. This is a departure from previous practice. I hope everyone's reading the fine print, because I know this is going to prevent me from volunteering to moderate.

I'm not sure why they've made this change. I've emailed programming at the general address, but I'm not counting on a response. Panel signups are due April 1. Maybe this is a joke?

I'd love to come out to AmaleiCon. I'll have to see if I can swing the finances.

I volunteered for a couple of panels and just didn't give them my real name in the email (since I have no membership number as yet, I can't see how they could cross-reference it or indeed why they would care) - didn't get any response to that saying I couldn't do it that way...
